W\u00e4hrend seiner Promotion an der ETH Z\u00fcrich arbeitete er an der Entwicklung von <a href=\"https:\/\/safir.ethz.ch\/home\/\">SAFIR<\/a>, einem Kleintier-PET-System mit bislang unerreichter zeitlicher Aufl\u00f6sung. BPET (ein SAFIR-Spin-off) startete 2017 mit der Gew\u00e4hrung eines <a href=\"https:\/\/ethz.ch\/en\/industry-and-society\/entrepreneurship\/pioneer-fellowships.html\">ETH Pioneer Fellowship<\/a> an Max und Jannis. Sie studierte Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik an der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipi.it\/index.php\/english\">Universit\u00e4t Pisa<\/a>. W\u00e4hrend ihrer Promotion an der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.physik.uni-heidelberg.de\/\">Universit\u00e4t Heidelberg<\/a> trug sie zur mikroelektronischen Entwicklung des PETA6-Mikrochips f\u00fcr die Anwendung in der Positronen-Emissions-Tomographie bei. PETA6 zeigte eine beispiellose Leistung, insbesondere bei TOF. Ilaria setzte ihre Karriere in der Entwicklung von Elektroniksystemen und PET-Systemen mit Stationen an der <a href=\"https:\/\/med.stanford.edu\/miil\">Stanford University<\/a> und in verschiedenen Unternehmen fort. Vor seinem Eintritt in unser Team war er als CFO und Finanzleiter bei mehreren <a href=\"https:\/\/msbeautilab.com\/\">Schweizer Konzernen<\/a> t\u00e4tig und verantwortete weltweit die Bereiche Finanzen, Controlling, Risikomanagement, Versicherungen, IT und PMO. Zuvor hatte er verschiedene leitende Positionen bei <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sicpa.com\/\">SICPA<\/a> inne, darunter Group FP&amp;A Director und Global Business Unit Controlling &amp; Finance Director. W\u00e4hrend seiner T\u00e4tigkeit in Unternehmen in Argentinien, den Niederlanden und der Schweiz, blieb er immer nah an der Hardware. Zuvor hat er an Webplattformen f\u00fcr tragbare Biosensoren und an MRT-Bilddatenbanksoftware f\u00fcr Forscher gearbeitet. Seitdem arbeitet er in der Forschung und Entwicklung von Computer\/Stereo Vision, 3D-Modellierung und Algorithmen. Er verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber einen MSc in Maschinenbau der <a href=\"https:\/\/ethz.ch\/de.html\">ETH Z\u00fcrich<\/a> mit Spezialisierung auf Biomedizintechnik und Mikro-\/Nanosysteme. Er ist auf FPGA-Design und Firmware-Entwicklung f\u00fcr biomedizinische und industrielle Anwendungen spezialisiert. Er verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber mehrere Jahre Erfahrung in der Bereitstellung von Signalverarbeitungs- und maschinellen Lernalgorithmen auf embedded System-on-Chips f\u00fcr Pr\u00e4zisionsmess- und medizinische Systeme. Er promovierte am Institut f\u00fcr Teilchenphysik und Astrophysik der ETH Z\u00fcrich, wo er den letzten Schritt des SAFIR-Projekts abschloss und sich umfassende Kenntnisse \u00fcber alle Facetten der PET-Detektorentwicklung aneignete.
