This financing was oversubscribed and brings reinforcement to Positrigo\u2019s shareholding structure with lead investor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthcap.eu\/\"><strong>HealthCap<\/strong><\/a>, a major European venture capital player in the life sciences space and <a href=\"https:\/\/navivo.vc\/\"><strong>Navivo<\/strong><\/a>, a venture capital fund supporting European tech companies in their global expansion. They were joined by existing shareholders and several family offices and individuals who are continuously supporting the company\u2019s growth. The funds are instrumental to support production and accelerate the commercialization of the NeuroLF system \u2013 a dedicated brain Positron Emission Tomography (PET) device &#8211; which is the first product of its kind with market clearance in the US and EU.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Strong New Investor Group<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to have closed this financing round with a well-known and established European venture capital firm like HealthCap. Not only will it allow us to accelerate our commercial efforts in the US and EU but it is also testament for the strong business opportunity that lies ahead of us,\u201d says <strong>Jannis Fischer<\/strong>, CEO and co-founder of Positrigo. \u201cThe NeuroLF system is used for the diagnosis of brain related disorders including brain tumors, epilepsy or movement disorders like Parkinson\u2019s disease. However, the strongest demand for brain PET we see in the diagnosis of Alzheimer\u2019s disease (AD) which is the most common form of dementia, accounting for ~70% of all dementias in those over 60. In 2023 there were over 55 million people worldwide living with dementia and it is predicted that individuals affected by AD will grow to 150 million in 2050. Mr. <strong>Didier Deltort<\/strong> is currently a Senior Advisor at several Venture Capital and Private Equity firms. With over 30 years of global experience in healthcare technology, he has held leadership roles at GE Healthcare, Zimmer Biomet, Boston Scientific, and HP Inc. At GE Healthcare, he spearheaded innovations in diagnostic imaging and patient monitoring, while at Zimmer Biomet he was overseeing the EMEA marketing, sales, and distribution of musculoskeletal products, including surgical robotics solutions. <strong>Dr. Ajit Singh<\/strong> is a partner and managing director at Artiman Ventures, based in Palo Alto, California. Prior to Artiman, he was the CEO of BioImagene \u2013 an Oncology diagnostics startup that was acquired by Roche in 2010. Earlier, he worked at Siemens for twenty years in the US and in Germany, the most recent ten years in global CEO roles for Siemens Oncology and Siemens Digital Imaging. Dr. Singh is an adjunct professor at the Stanford University School of Medicine, as well as a Trustee of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three existing board members do not stand for re-election.
